I've published many books now, but I still find the whole process amazing. Only a few months ago, Mini Shopaholic was just a document in my computer that no-one else had seen. Now there it is in the shops, a proper shiny gorgeous book, printed thousands of times over.  I'll definitely be going out to lurk in a bookshop or two and admire it.

To those of you who have bought it or are reading it, I really hope you enjoy it. To readers in the US and other countries where it isn't out yet... not long now!

I'm so glad everyone likes the bag! I think it is totally fab and have bought several. I got mine from notonthehighstreet.com which is a great website, for anyone who doesn't know it. But beware, once you start browsing you find all sorts of things you didn't know you needed...

I'm gearing up for September's launch now, it's getting really exciting. As soon as the book hits the shops I will be unable to resist lurking in bookstores, admiring it up there on the shelves. So if you go out to buy it on publication day you might well see me, disguised in dark glasses!

The winner this year was Moonlight in Odessa by Janet Skeslien Charles, which is a fantastically quirky, wry and funny story with some great characters. I highly recommend it.

For every season, for every purpose, for every life event... there is a reason to shop.

Having our new baby Rex gave me an excuse to buy the object of desire I'd been secretly hankering after for all my other babies: a great big, old-fashioned pram. It's totally impractical and doesn't even fold up... but I don't care! I love it!

And as if to prove what a great choice I'd made, the day it arrived, 
so did the Greek edition of Shopaholic & Baby (see below).

What should be pictured on the front cover, but the exact same pram! Great minds think alike!
